Our Outreach Ministry was started in 1996 when the Parish Council and Srs. Carol and Lucy decided that more needed to be done to respond to those who come to the Parish in need.
Since then the Outreach Ministry has grown to include hundreds of volunteers in the following programs:
**Referrals and assistance with emergencies for parishioners and those who live within the Parish Boundaries as funds are available,requesting and paying for Birth Certificates and ID's for Adults for the purpose of obtaining jobs, housing, etc. Contact Eileen Kelly in the Parish Office for availability.
**Neighborhood Meals on the second and second last Saturdays of every month in the Parish Hall (see the 2010 Schedule on a separate menu item on our main page under the tab entitled "Programs")
Outreach Ministry Programs in the former School Building:
**Free Computer Classes on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and
**Open Lab Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
**Literacy/GED Preparation Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
**English as a Second Language Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
**Brigid's Room sessions on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
We are also thrilled to host Building Hope in the City/STAIRS Afterschool Program for chidren ages K-8 grades on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. For more information, please call the Parish Office.
